Reflections and Learnings on the Coordinating SNAP and Nutrition Supports Project
The Reflections and Learnings on the Coordinating SNAP & Nutrition Supports (CSNS) Project highlights lessons, successes, and opportunities from both Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 of CSNS. CSNS is a partnership program between Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign and the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA).
This cohort program is focused on improving access to programs like SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid in partnership with state or local agencies, community partners, and People With Lived Expertise (PWLE). The report explores how cross-sector collaboration, data sharing, human-centered design, and community-driven solutions can help create more equitable and accessible nutrition support systems for children and families.
Through our reflections around cohort sites across the country and insights from the Community Impact Council, this resource captures what it takes to build benefits systems that better meet families where they are. The report shares examples, systems change strategies, and key learnings that can help agencies and community partners strengthen service delivery, deepen community partnership, and improve access to critical supports.
